A SOMERSET school has netted a new football coach who is sure to prove a winner with pupils.
Craig Scriven, who is the highest qualified young referee in the county at only 19-years-old, has joined Shipham First School as a new coach.
The talented trainer referees in local league football, including Somerset County Premiership, has experience in FA Level one football coaching and is an assistant referee in Somerset Vase games.
Craig is just finishing his Sports BND and as well as football, he also coaches cricket and hockey, and is working towards his higher sports leader award.
As well as teaching the pupils the usual tactical skills in football, Craig’s coaching will also focus on teaching team work, listening and following instructions and leadership.
