Successful students at Broadoak Mathematics and Computing College were praised for their hard work at the Weston school’s annual awards evening on Tuesday.

Guest speaker Matthew Ainsworth, who produced TV shows Brainiac and The One Show, presented more than 80 students with awards.

Headteacher Shelagh Pritchard said: “The awards evening is one of the highlights of the year for me as headteacher.

“I am immensely proud of all our students – the effort and commitment they have towards their work is outstanding, as well as their excellent behaviour
and attendance. It was also lovely to see so many parents attending the event.”
