pupils at a Weston primary school are enjoying lessons in new-look classrooms, after the unveiling of a 2million refurbishment.
New heating, lighting, floors and walls have been installed at Milton Park Primary School in a comprehensive overhaul of the ageing buildings.
Temporary classrooms at the Milton Park Road school have also been upgraded as part of the project carried out by contractor Willmott Dixon Construction.
Headteacher Sara Hedger formally cut the ribbon on the new-look classrooms this week.
The move comes just weeks after a Mercury investigation showed an appalling catalogue of faults within school buildings across North Somerset.
More than 30million of repairs would be needed to bring all the district’s schools up to standard, with some facing individual repair bills of more than 2million.
