SCHOOL pupils arrived in Weston this week for a break from their big adventure.

The Wirral’s Calday Grange Grammer School children met with Grand Pier staff for a break from their run.

Youngsters from the school are running from Land’s End to John O’Groats to raise money to fight childhood cancer.

They are being joined by former pupils living across the country who are running alongside their younger counterparts.

They set off from Exeter and ran in a relay all the way to Weston where they stopped off at the Grand Pier for some tea and refreshments before heading to their hostel in town.

The next day they then set off in the morning to Monmouth.

All the money raised is going to Alder Hey in Liverpool, which is the largest children’s hospital in Europe.
