A WESTON school was unusually busy this week as hundreds of people took part in a welcoming event.

Although Broadoak Mathematics and Computing College is normally quiet during the holidays, one day it was bursting with families who took part in the summer club.

There was a presentation for new pupils starting at the school in September, followed by a colourful performance of The Lion King.

Throughout the event, the school pulled out all the stops to make the new students feel welcome at the college in Windwhistle Road, including tempting them with displays and sweet treats.
