A SOMERSET school has received new gardening equipment after winning a competition about recycling food waste.
Pupils at East Huntspill Primary School took delivery of the compost bin and fruit and vegetable box this month after persuading competition organisers at Sanders GardenWorld they would make most use of them.
Angela Fey, organiser of the school’s gardening club, was thrilled by the news and said they would help the school maintain its vegetable patch.
