WORLE Community School has been praised by Ofsted inspectors for its work in English.
The schools’ watchdog says from its visit earlier this year it can see achievement in the subject, as well as the quality of teaching, quality of the curriculum and leadership and management within it are good.
Attainment in English at the Redwing Drive school has been above average in the past three years.
A report released this week said: “Most of the lessons seen were either good or outstanding.
“Relationships between teachers and students are very good and pupils commended their teachers for giving freely their time to support them at lunch time and after school.”
