Students from a private school in North Somerset enjoyed success at a equestrian competition.

A team from Sidcot School, near Winscombe, took part in the National Schools Equestrian Association National Championships, which were held in Bedfordshire.

There were more than 2,500 competitors over the course of three days, competing over three disciplines: dressage, show jumping and jumping with style.

Team Sidcot – consisting of Archie Stamp, Henry Blair, Harriet Blair and Holly Cooke – did particularly well in the 70cm show jumping competition, finishing second nationally.

Erin Crofts, Evie Puddy, Lottie Gunter and Henry were crowned national champions after winning the 90cm jumping with style competition.

Other prize winners included Sophie Lee and Caoimhe Collery who performed well in the dressage.
