STUDENTS from a Somerset school enjoyed a trip to Germany last month where they took in the sights and smells of Cologne.
More than 20 year 10 and 11 pupils from The Kings of Wessex Academy in Station Road, Cheddar, visited the home ground of German football team Bayer Leverkusen, the Lindt chocolate museum and Cologne’s iconic Cathedral.
They also visited Bonn, the one-time capital of West Germany, where they learned the history of Germany after the Second World War.
Student Alasatair Bevan Campbell said: “The visit has been an educational, enriching and entertaing language-learning opportunity.”
