Sri Lankan link celebrated by school artwork
ARTWORK is being created to celebrate a link between Locking Primary School and a school in Sri Lanka.
The wall frieze is being constructed by Locking pupils and village residents, with diversity the main theme the artwork is designed to highlight.
The work shows a variety of different creatures, from those native to the United Kingdom such as badgers and squirrels, and indigenous animals in Sri Lanka such as monkeys and antelopes.
As part of Locking’s link with the Mahanaga School, two teachers visited the island nation in November.
