Little Explorers Nursery in Hewish was given a brand new toy handmade by students at Weston College.

Students who are studying carpenting built the wooden bus for the children and it will now be used in the nursery’s outdoor play area.

Michael Kay, lecturer in carpentry at Weston College, said: “We felt like this would be a fantastic opportunity to help the community.

“It has also given our learners the chance to put all the skills they had learnt into practice, and the opportunity to see their product used in the real world.”
