A Weston-super-Mare church has enlisted the help of creative graphic design students to celebrate its 60th year in style.

St Barnabas Church, in Weston’s Coronation estate, in Westbury Crescent, asked Weston College to create logos for the church’s different events during 2018.

Reverend Mark Madeley and captain Andy Falconbridge judged the entrants from the college’s graphic design course and picked the two which best captured the church’s history.

Andy said: “We were really pleased by the high standard of logos the students submitted.

“We chose two entries which summed up our church and its ethos in the best possible way, as we are welcoming and accessible to all generations.”

St Barnabas is hoping to create links with the college and wider community throughout 2018.

Informal services take place at 10.30am every Wednesday and on Sunday mornings at 11am.
