STUDENTS spent a day developing their work-related skills with highlights including learning how to build an aeroplane and doing press-ups.

The year 10 students from The Kings of Wessex Academy, Cheddar, were taking part in a key skills day in preparation for their work experience week and were challenged to develop their teamwork, problem-solving and project planning skills.

Headteacher Chris Richardson said: “I am delighted that our students participated with such enthusiasm in their key skills day and really get the best out of the challenges, which I know will greatly aid them in their work experience week.”
