MEDIA students had the chance to grill some well-known faces from TV as part of a course project.
Pupils from Weston College questioned ITV news reporter, Richard Payne, who trained at the Weston Mercury, and broadcast journalist, Mel Edmonds, in a mock panel show.
The ‘have I got journalism for you’ session involved contestants answering questions about working in the media and took place at the college’s university campus TV studio.
Richard, who used to attend the college said: “It was a great experience and was a good insight for students into the pressures of working on a TV show.”
The BTEC diploma pupils filmed the event and Mel was on hand to talk about the personal qualities and qualifications needed to work in news journalism.
