FOUR students at the school have won a national award for a short film.
International baccalaureate students Gabriel, Harriet, Kristin and Daniel created a film called The Great Cheddar Cheese Mystery, which won the earth science and environment award at the National Schools SciCast competition.
The film, which previously won the North Somerset award heat, was filmed on location in Cheddar Gorge and featured an investigation into the theory that rocks are made of Cheddar cheese.
A spokesman for the school said: “We are so proud that they are now the national winners – an award that recognizes the marriage of science and creativity that is so special to Sidcot.”
