YEAR 12 students at Churchill sixth form spent a day preparing themselves for higher education and employment.
There was a wide variety of workshops and presentations available including how to choose the right university, practical tips on writing a personal statement, gap year opportunities, career planning, interview skills and apprenticeships.
Students were able to gain advice and information from visiting universities and organisations such as UWE, Glamorgan University, Weston College, Projects Abroad, North Somerset Apprenticeships, the Royal Air Force, the Royal Navy and the Police Service.
Several former Churchill students came back to share their experience of university, travel and employment and to give some useful advice on what opportunities are available after leaving sixth form.
