ITEMS which represent Burnham and Highbridge have been selected by students at King Alfred School to become part of a time capsule.

As part of the school’s Challenge Day, year eight pupils from the school in Burnham Road, Highbridge, were asked to design an item they felt represented Burnham and Highbridge to place in the capsule which will be opened in 2062.

The students have also been working alongside Cornwall Glass and Glazing Ltd on the exciting project.

The final winners were Harry Ratcliffe and Sam Hendy for their inspired signed school shirts idea, Emma Stolliday for her poem about 2062, Olivia Augar and Lily Green for their video tour of the school and Holly Robinson for her fact sheet about 2012 and questions about 2062.
