Sandford Primary School in Greenhill Road put on the event which saw youngsters enjoy games, tae kwon do and singing demonstrations.

Police were also at the event recruiting for Avon and Somerset Constabulary, with area officer Pete Kennell treating youngsters to a ride in a police car.

Deputy headteacher Angie Stevens said: “It was lovely. The rain held off, and the police came to do some recruiting. There was a great community feel.”
