BUDDING young fashion designers, artists and musicians took to the stage as part of Weston College’s annual summer show.

The week-long event, which finished yesterday (Wed), allowed hundreds of students on courses including art and design, graphics, photography and media, to showcase their work.

At the preview night on June 14, about 1,400 parents, carers, relatives, friends and prospective students turned up at the college’s University Campus to see the hard work and effort put into the displays.

Rosie-Anne Coombs had a collection of three dresses, two tops, skirts and a jacket and looked at how 1950s clothes could be reinterpreted by today’s working woman.

She said: “I used leather in all my designs, combined with other recycled materials which were all laser cut and from scrap stores and charity shops.”
