MORE than 250 pupils at Churchill Primary School tucked into a hearty harvest lunch of home-grown fruit and vegetables.
School catering company Aspens Services helped the school arrange the tasty dinner, using ingredients grown by teachers and pupils’ parents, as well as the school’s own garden.
The lunch followed a harvest service at St Mary’s Church in Langford, where pupils took gifts of produce to be donated to the Children’s Hospice at Wraxall.
Aspens executive Ken Tee said: “Getting the whole school – pupils, parents and teaching staff – involved in creating a great-tasting meal using fresh, home-grown fruit and vegetables turned the harvest lunch into a really special occasion.”
