PUPILS at Ashcombe Primary School in Weston have a new outdoor area to use following the completion of a 15-month refurbishment project.
The learning area has been designed following consultation with staff, parents and pupils who wanted a space for the kids to enjoy, replacing a dense overgrown patch of land that had been largely unusable for more than a decade.
The eco-friendly creation features a wildlife pond, an undercover seated area for 30 pupils and a vegetable patch to allow children to grow their own produce.
And should the children prove good at growing their own vegetables they will be rewarded with a few more on their school dinner plates.
