MORE than £2,500 was raised at a school fete on Saturday.

Castle Batch Primary School benefitted from glorious sunshine at its annual summer fundraiser.

Children got the chance to try their hand at driving, with a real car and instructor offering them chance to get behind the wheel.

Traditional fun and games including face-painting, a tombola, a coconut shy and a raffle were also on offer.

School receptionist Debbie Parker said: “We haven’t had the full total yet, but we raised more than £2,600.”
