THREE new governors have joined Shipham First School’s governing body.

Tracey Vallance, Lynne Rigg and Iain Shaw are the newest additions to the group, with Tracey and Lynne joining as parent governors and Iain as a community governor.

Mum-of-two Tracey, who has lived in the village for eight years, was a member of the pre-school committee and chose to become a parent governor in order to continue to support the community.

Lynne, a lawyer with three children, was the chairman of the pre-school committee for two years and is a member of Friends of Shipham School.

Dad-of-two Iain, who has links with the village going back 21 years, is also a member of the parish council, secretary and player of Shipham Football Club and also volunteers at the youth club.
