A YEAR 11 student at a Cheddar school Tilly Paul was one of the judges to select some positive awareness posters for Somerset for the end of a three-year national initiative.

The county’s Aiming High team organised a photography competition to find images that capture the positive experience of young people with disabilities.

Tilly, who is studying photography GCSE at the Kings of Wessex School, joined three other judges to select 10 winning pictures that will be made into posters and displayed across Somerset.

Glenne Hutchings, subject leader for learning support, said: “I was very proud of Tilly for being one of the judges. She had her own clear ideas about which photos should be selected for the posters from the point of view of the positive portrayal of other children with disabilities, as well as good photography.”
