HUGH Sexey Middle School has been awarded the Quality Mark for Schools for its skills in literacy and numeracy.
The Quality Mark is awarded for a period of three years and this is the third time the school, in Sexey’s Road, Wedmore, has secured the honour, following the outstanding OFSTED results which it received in June.
The Quality Mark was present in recognition of provision, practise and performance for the school’s basic skills.
Head teacher Jenny Venning said: “Our focus on maintaining high standards of provision and practice in basic skills has a very positive impact on the outstanding levels of attainment and achievement in our school.”
