The mayor of Weston’s twin city made a visit to the college to see how the institution has changed over the past 15 years.

Dr Ingo Meyer, who is mayor of Hildesheim, said the visit gave him some inspiration for the future of the German city which Weston has been paired with since 1983.

He said: “It was a very interesting visit. What I particularly liked is that Weston College has a focus on the needs of businesses it works with and I think this is very, very important, and what I would like to have more of in Hildesheim. It’s the area of focus for me. We need to create good workers for the future.”
