University Centre Weston's (UCW) talented graphic design students showcased their very best work and raised money for a great cause at the same time.

The students organised the event, which took place at the weekend and planned to raise £200 for their final degree show next year.

However, they beat their target and raised an impressive £301 and 10 per cent of that will be donated to Weston Samaritans charity.

Victoria Norcross, graphic design course leader at UCW, said: “The show was well attended and a truly spectacular evening.

“The students have gone to huge amounts of effort to create not only an atmospheric event but also showcasing some extremely talented work.

“The professionalism and collaborative working between courses is humbling – watch this space for further exciting updates on their work.”

Student, Lauren Poole, said: “We are all exceptionally proud of how the night turned out.”
