Pupils from Fairfield School turned up to school dressed as their favourite book characters to mark World Book Day.
Well-known children's illustrator Marc Vyvyan Jones, whose illustrations include books such as Maurice and Eric's Elephant, also ran workshops for children to teach them about matching pictures to stories.
