Talented catering students from Weston College received a masterclass in the kitchen from one of the best chefs in the South West at the latest Chefs' Forum Academy.

Paul O’Neill, who is head chef at Hattusa Berwick hotel in Bristol, taught the students how to prepare and serve a venison saddle and smoked duck dish.

An event also took place at Bristol Audi and canapés were both prepared and served by students and there were also a number of cookery demonstrations.

The Chefs’ Forum was launched at the college back in April and gives students the opportunity to work with industry experts and learn a number of new skills.

Georgia White, who is studying for a diploma in professional cookery, said: “I feel the Chefs’ Forum Academy is benefiting me as I am getting the opportunity to work with high-class chefs.

“It is helping me expand my CV and get work experience in the chefs’ restaurants.”
