WESTON College is looking for new employers to sign up to take on apprentices and is getting into the festive spirit by offering a range of gifts for anyone who gets involved in its campaign.

The college is offering a range of benefits to businesses that book an appointment to discuss the benefits of taking on an apprentice.

The college offers 50 different types of apprenticeships and supports employers throughout the entire process.

Liz Redwood, head of the Business Enterprise Centre in Weston-super-Mare, said: “This is the time of year associated with giving gifts, so we thought it would be an appropriate gesture to provide a token of our appreciation to those employers who contact us to discuss apprenticeships within their business.

“We believe those employers who take on our apprentices will soon discover they provide the answer to any businesses ‘Christmas wish list’ for improving productivity and capacity, creating innovation, developing talent, and giving their businesses a greater competitive edge.”

Anyone who has a face-to-face meeting with the college’s Business Enterprise Centre before the end of January will be given a high street store gift card and will also be entered into a prize draw.

The prize options include a one-month swim and gym membership at Hutton Moor and a number of free hair and beauty treatments.
