Children from a Weston-super-Mare primary school visited the town’s flagship development this week, getting a sneak peak at the eagerly-anticipated Dolphin Square complex.

Pupils from Walliscote Primary School visited the site, and were given a tour by Dawnus Construction, which is the main contractor for the project.

Teacher Emma Tucker said: “This was a fantastic opportunity for the children to learn about working in the construction industry and experience the noise and excitement of a real building site.

“They especially loved the laser level tool and seeing the inside of the building; it was very exciting for them.”

Bob Cooper, project manager for Dawnus Construction Ltd, said: “It’s always been a focus for us to engage the local community in this build.

“Involving local schoolchildren in our work is a valuable way of educating them on how to stay safe near a building site, as well as giving them an insight into the construction of Dolphin Square.”
