PUPILS at Winscombe Primary School got to grips with different religions and cultures as they celebrated RE week.
Schoolchildren dressed in traditional garb when priest Dhira Shanta visited to teach them about Hinduism on Monday, while they also had talks about Christianity and Judaism.
Teacher Sara Franklin said: “Hopefully the children will get a wider understanding of different religions and cultures from the week, because as we’re a country school the pupils don’t often see people from other cultures and religions, and it’s important to increase their understanding of other cultures.”
