Youngsters created their own festive products and managed to raise more than £1,500.

St Martin’s Primary School, in Spring Hill, held its Christmas fair on Friday and pupils, families and friends were all invited.

A Santa’s Grotto was set up and youngsters could go and ask Father Christmas which presents they would like.

The school choir sang a selection of festive songs, while festive sand art, tombola and a cake stall were also on offer.

Stalls sold decorations, which were handmade by the school’s environmental club.

A school spokesman thanked those who went.

They said: “We were amazed and delighted by the number of people who came to the fair.

“There was a great atmosphere and it was a wonderful start to our Christmas festivities.

“A huge thank you to everyone who has helped to make our fair such a success including the parents and staff who helped on the day and in the run up.”
