CHILDREN at one Worle primary school have been enjoying reading with their parents at home and have now had the chance to buy brand new reading material at the school’s book fair.

Mendip Green Primary School, in Greenwood Road, has been encouraging parents to read with their children outside of school hours.

The scheme has been so successful in helping to boost reading levels, the school decided to host a travelling book fair this week.

The book fair landed in the school’s library on Monday and transformed it into a bookworm’s dream.

There were various different children’s books available for parents to buy, catering for all ages, and designed to help foster a love of reading from a young age.
