Around 50 Worle Community School students performed Oliver! over four evenings from October 9-12.

They also gave a special showing to 90 pupils and nine staff of Ashcombe Primary School.

Ashcombe pupils worked alongside Jill Dando News Centre student journalists, becoming the first school outside of The Priory Learning Trust to work in its new centre.

Youngsters interviewed cast members and others for stories published in the school’s newspaper.

Head of drama, Becky Davies, said: “There has been huge talent, energy and enthusiasm from the students for this show and the performances have been incredible.

“It has been great to see children from Ashcombe to mix with our students on the cast and in the news centre.”
