WORLE students have transformed into poets after having their work published through a national competition.

Pupils from Worle Community School in Redwing Drive entered the Young Writers’ national writing competition War Of Words.

Judges were impressed with the youngsters’ conflict-themed poetry and their work will be published in Poets From The South.

English teacher, Gemma Harris, said: “A total of 92 students have had their work published from years nine to 11 and this will encourage pupils to continue to develop their writing talent.”

The book is scheduled for publication on February 28.
