Primary school children from Worlebury have had their stories published in a book.

The budding authors who attend Worlebury St Paul’s Primary School have written a collection of science fiction stories for the book called Out Of This World.

The stories range from mystical journeys through portals, to heroes saving planet Earth.

They have all been written, edited, proofed and illustrated by the nine and 10-year-old children.

Class teacher Nicola Gifford said: “I am very proud of the children’s success and hope that this book will inspire many more children to put pen to paper, go into their imaginations and just write.”

The stories were written following an out-of-this-world learning topic.

The children also worked out the cost of printing the book and the selling price.

They are hoping to make a profit so they can buy more resources for the classroom.
