MEDIEVAL food, art, printing and metalwork all featured in an imaginative week of themed learning at the Hugh Sexey Middle School in Blackford.

Youngsters enjoyed a trip to Chepstow Castle, made period costumes, and created their own pilgrim badges from low melting point alloys.

Year six children delivered a dramatic performance (pictured) in the wake of their castle tip, while staff praised the initiative as ‘another very successful visit’.
