Youngsters’ dinosaur studies

STUDENTS at a Somerset school went millions of years back in time as part of Bristol University’s dinosaur project.

Year nine science pupils at The Kings Of Wessex Academy in Cheddar investigated fossils, practiced their Latin and fitted casts to a life-sized Thecodontosaurus model – a species discovered near Bristol – at a series of workshops.

Science enrichment leader Lou Meldon said: “This was a wonderful opportunity for our students to examine some fossils and we thank the university for leading these fascinating workshops.”
