PUPILS at Castle Batch Primary School in Worle became mad scientists for a day of fascinating experiments on Monday.

The day, centred on the theme of hands-on science fun, saw them getting stuck in to a range of activities, from making ice cream to investigating ice balloons. Pupils then took part in a rocket mouse challenge where each class competed to find out who could launch their mouse the highest.
