A GROUP of youngsters will see their designs installed in Weston’s Grove Park after they won a competition to create a wooden sensory wall.
Pupils from Walliscote Primary School in Walliscote Road were asked to come up with designs for a wall of carved wood to be put in the park.
Weston mayor Cllr Dave Hitchens judged the entries alongside Weston in Bloom chairman Richard Knowles and Mercury reporter James Franklin.
Four lucky winners were chosen – Spencer Sully, John Paul Solatario, Sophie Evans and Billy Gee.
The boards will be created by Somerset Wood Recycling and placed in the park.
The winners will now have the chance to meet the mayor and have tea in his parlour.
All 20 entrants received a certificate for taking part.
Weston In Bloom officer Lilah Roncaglia said: “We are very pleased with the high standard of entry and excited to see the signs in Grove Park. Well done to everyone who entered.”
