YOU may not need sunshine to turn the skies blue thanks to the improving weather, but you still need to see these youngsters impress in Annie Jnr.

More than 60 children and teens from Winscombe Youth Theatre will take to the stage to deliver the popular musical.

Written by Thomas Meehan, with music by Charles Strouse and lyrics by Martin Charnin, the show will see the group sing memorable numbers such as Tomorrow, Hard Knock Life and NYC in this family favourite.

The youngsters will tell the story of little orphan Annie, as she escapes from the clutches of Miss Hannigan in the orphanage and attempts to find her real parents.

The show will be held at Churchill Academy, in Churchill Green, on June 7 at 11.30am and 3.30pm. Tickets, priced £6-8, are available from The Florist Shop, in Ashley Close, Winscombe by calling 01934 842004.
