A TALENTED Burnham thespian has won a top award for a physically demanding dual role.
Edward Creswick, aged 40, won the Aardman Animations Award for best performance in a musical for his performance of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde in the Weston Operatic Society’s recent run.
The lifelong dramatist, who met his wife Kristeen through the society 13 years ago, picked up the award at a ceremony at the Winter Gardens.
Mr Creswick, who lost two-and-a-half stone for the role, said: “I’ve been lucky enough to win the award twice before but on both occasions I was unable to go to the awards ceremony so it’s the first time I was at the ceremony and it was great to actually go and collect it.”
