AN ELDERLY driver had a lucky escape after his car ended up hanging over the edge of a rhyne in Uphill - with him inside.
Firefighters from Weston and Bristol attended the incident in Rhyne Terrace, at around 1pm on Friday last week and helped the unharmed pensioner to safety.
Weston & Somerset Mercury reader Stephen Middle captured on camera the emergency services' efforts to tow the car to safety.
