AN ANNUAL fundraiser for Weston's RNLI is being held on the Beach Lawns next weekend.

The police, air ambulance, coastguard and fire and rescue service will all attend and there will be a new children’s play area with a variety of activities to enjoy.

The RNLI is running a £300,000 appeal to build a new lifeboat station in the town.

The figure now stands at £186,000 – and the charity is aiming to have reached the £200,000 mark by the end of the summer.

The 999 day will also include first aid demonstrations from St John Ambulance, and an airport fire truck will also be in attendance.

The event will be held on July 13 from 11am-4pm.
