Entrants welcomed for 2010 Turnip Prize
PUBLISHED: 15:30 09 November 2010
ENTRIES are now being accepted for the 2010 Turnip Prize, the spoof art prize which celebrates artwork with the least amount of effort put into it.
The competition, run by the New Inn in Wedmore, has previously featured such entries as Knicker-less Cage and Nothing, an entry which was literally nothing.
Organiser James Timms said: “We’ve only had one entry so far and it’s certainly of too high a quality to win, I need to see some real lack of effort from you guys this year.
“Additionally, the secret judging team are now accepting bribes and personal favours for this years prize, no marked notes.”
Entrants have until November 22 to hand their entries in at the New Inn. Judging of the entries will take place on December 6.
