MORE than £3,000 was raised to go towards school equipment at the Winscombe school fete on Saturday.

Youngsters and adults alike had a chance to have a go at body zorbing (rolling around in big plastic balls), giant jenga, and driving school.

Parents Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) chairman Carly Poole said: “It was great to raise so much money for the school, we’ll have to wait until the end of the school year to work out what we’re going to spend it on, but last year we got an adventure playground for the school.”
