EU exit won’t impact on ‘strong’ property market, says house-builder

PUBLISHED: 20:00 10 July 2016

Financial and property markets are facing uncertainty in the wake of the EU referendum, but one house-builder insists it will be ‘business as usual’ in the South West.

Bloor Homes’ South West managing director Paul Baker believes the industry will continue to prosper, and predicts demand will remain high.

Mr Baker said: “Our firm belief is the UK economy and property market remain in a strong position to continue the growth of recent years, and we expect to see stability and prosperity in the years ahead.

“Demand for new homes continues to outstrip supply and we believe this will remain the case for the foreseeable future, so it is very much business as usual as far as the housebuilding industry is concerned.”
