The MEND (Mind, Exercise, Nutrition... Do it!) programme is aimed at overweight children aged seven to 13 and will also include space hopper races, hula hoping and skipping.
The ten-week programme, to be held at Wyvern Community School from May 8, will offer twice-weekly sessions aimed at improving children's fitness, activity levels, nutrition and self-esteem.
The scheme, which is funded by Sainsbury's, will also include fruit and vegetable tasting sessions, easy recipe ideas and a cookery evening.
