A CYCLIST was seriously injured and remains in hospital after falling off his bike in Cleeve.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened at 3.20pm yesterday (Sun) in Cleeve Hill, a road running between Cleeve and Wrington.

It is believed that a man was riding a green bicycle down the hill in the direction of Cleeve when he lost control before falling to the ground.

The cyclist, who was wearing distinct cycle clothing and a helmet, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital. It is believed some cars would have been using the road at the time and police want to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident.
